Copreci the Endorsed Supplier within Prime Advantage, received the Innovation award in the Fall Conference 2013 organized by Prime Advantage. Prime Advantage is a buying group dedicated to bringing its clients the best possible savings on raw materials, components, supplies and services.

Copreci produces and supplies a wide range of components and systems for the assembly of a variety of gas cooking equipment, free-standing cookers, built-in hobs and ovens as well as a range of regulation and control systems.

The company also provides comprehensive solutions for air heating devices such as catalytic and infrared heaters, gas logs, accumulators and convectors (including taps with thermoelectric safety), thermostatic valves, pilots, analyzers, electric thermostats and complete electronic control systems for gas heaters. The prize was given in the Fall Conference that took place last October 22-24 in Columbus (Ohio).

Copreci introduces its...

'Lantegixa herri' is the title of the song, created to celebrate the 50th anniversary and performed by company employees. The video was taken in Aretxabaleta production plant and in various locations in the town of Aretxabaleta.

Almost twenty workers of Copreci have been involved in the recording of the song and video 'Lantegixa herri', a song created for the purpose of 'commemorate 50 years of the cooperative and pay tribute to the founders'.

The theme of the video is "the heart present in millions of appliances, in millions of homes around the world, but mostly present in all men and women who make up the cooperative."

The cooperative Copreci, part of the Components Division of MONDRAGON Corporation, has today held the main act to mark the 50th anniversary of its launch. The event was attended by the Lehendakari (Basque Premier) Iñigo Urkullu, the Basque Government Deputy Minister for Industry and Energy and the President of the MONDRAGON Corporation Governing Board, among others.

In 1963 a group of 40 people set up Copreci (COmponentes de PRECIsión) business activities manufacturing gas valves in Aretxabaleta (Gipuzkoa). Currently, Copreci is a global company with over 1,400 people in its 7 production plants worldwide. Consolidated business turnover stands at 185 Million Euros.

Copreci is one of the leading global manufacturers of household appliance components and a key player in the market for devices for control-regulation solutions for gas and water extraction.

Our key accounts include the main brands in the household appliance sector such as Bosch Siemens, Whirlpool, Indesit, Electrolux, General Electric, Fagor, Miele, Haier, Weber and Char Broil, among others.

Product catalogue

Copreci manufactures the following products in its facilities: - Valves, thermostats, electronic gas control systems, conduction elements... for gas cookers, hobs, barbecues, heaters and ovens. - Generators for induction hobs. - Drain pumps and recirculation pumps for washing machines and dishwashers.

International Expansion

Copreci was a pioneer in MONDRAGON Corporation in the sphere of internationalization with the launch of Copreci México in 1989, which was the first overseas facility for the Corporation. Following Mexico, production plants were opened in Czech Republic (1996), Italy (2002), Turkey and Brazil (2003), and China (2004).

Copreci provides a global supply from these 7 countries, adapting itself to markets, sharing the same management system and the same technical know-how. Currently, over 65% of turnover comes from the HQ in Aretxabaleta (Gipuzkoa).

Technological Capacity: over 280 patents

By applying this technological capacity to industrial processes, Copreci is able to compete globally with regions with cheaper labour costs by using automated processes and rationalizing power use and consumption

A prosperous present and a promising future

In the current difficult economic situation, Copreci is a profitable business project with a wide international presence which creates jobs in the local area. In fact, since 2009, when the economic downturn set in, Copreci has grown in the local area with 70 new jobs.

Despite the current market situation, Copreci is looking to the future optimistically with plans for growth on the outer edges of the European Union, in the Americas, and in Asia.
