A group of 40 people start Copreci ("Precision cooperative") by manufacturing gas taps and electromagnetic safety valves for cookers, heaters and boilers.

We manufacture the first motor pump developed entirely at Copreci.
1975
The number of Copreci employees passes 900 while, at the same time, Aretxabaleta sees a population spurt, growing from 3,398 inhabitants in 1960 to 5,235 inhabitants in 1970.

We develop our own processes. We are experts in “Lean Manufacturing”.

1980
We now export 70% of our products, meaning it is necessary to develop a sales network consisting of branches and commercial agents.
1988
We manufacture the first pressure sensor for the Arianne space project.
1989
We establish the company in Mexico, the first time Corporación Mondragon opens overseas.

1991
Copreci becomes the first industrial company in the Basque Country and the seventh in Spain to obtain the joint AENOR-AFAQ certification. Copreci CZ established in Dvorce (Czech Republic)
1992
Prince Felipe Award for Quality, “Silver Q” and later “Gold Q” awards for quality from Euskalit.
1993
Copreci awarded the “Gold Q” by Bosch-Siemens in three consecutive years (1991, 1992, 1993).
1994
Copreci is integrated into the Components Division of Corporación Mondragon, together with other cooperatives that manufacture household and electrical appliance components.

The first induction hob goes into production. To date Copreci is the world’s leading independent induction manufacturer.
2003
We open in Turkey with a new factory in Gebze.
2004
We land in China with a factory in Zhuhai. Copreci Aretxabaleta obtains OSHAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety certificate)
2007
Copreci introduces innovations that unite gas and electricity for the first time: smart cooking, applied to built-in gas hobs and "remotion", the remote control for gas heaters.

Launch of the ECOOK "green induction" system, an efficient induction system that allows you to manage energy consumption sensibly.
2010
Development of the new BLDC drain pump with Brushless technology.
2012
Copreci (Aretxabaleta) expands its installations.
